Mission Statement
We, the brothers of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc., strongly believe that many individual and collective successes can be achieved through the efforts of a culturally diverse brotherhood of college and university men.
Whom, through close association with each other, maintain honesty, commitment, respect, and trust. The maintenance of these qualities is nurtured in large part through the diversity of culture and through self-awareness and self-respect.
Among the results of actions taken in these states of being are the promotion of friendship and Brotherhood, the development of individual character, the advancement of justice and opportunity, and the acquisition of soundness and excellence in education.
National Philanthropy
In 1989, Alberto Rivera, one of our 20 founding fathers, passed away due to complications related to HIV/AIDS.
As a result of the tragedy, our brothers united in the fight against HIV/AIDS to honor his memory.
Journey Back to
Where It All Began
Join us in honoring the legacy of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, Inc. with a special video that takes us to the very roots of our brotherhood.
From the inception of an idea in Tillett Hall at Rutgers University to our first probate, this video captures our journey of growth, creativity, and history, narrated by Carlos Hendricks (Taino Chapter, Fall 1979).
Experience the journey of how it all started and witness the evolution of LSU through generations. Watch now!
