Founding Date
Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity was officially founded on April 5th, 1979, at Rutgers University - New Brunswick, NJ on Livingston Campus.

Fraternal Hand Sign
The Fraternal Hand Sign represents the unity and brotherhood of Lambda Sigma Upsilon, connecting members across generations.
Cultural Symbol
The Taino Head, representing the “Taino Indian,” is the cultural symbol of Lambda Sigma Upsilon, honoring the fraternity’s indigenous roots and heritage.
Philanthropy
Lambda Sigma Upsilon supports HIV/AIDS research and awareness through various initiatives and partnerships that raise funds and spread knowledge about the cause.

In 1981, Mu Sigma Upsilon Sorority, Inc. was founded, giving rise to the Upsilon Family.
Bound by our history and tradition, LSU is the first Latino Fraternity to be affiliated with a sister sorority.
