Andre Gonzalez

Lipan Chapter | Spring 2021 | Colorado State University

Program Coordinator at the National Youth Advocacy Program (NYAP)

Andre crossed the Spring 2021 semester with the Lipan chapter at Colorado State University. After graduating from Colorado State University, he continued to serve marginalized communities in various roles at his alma mater. After two years, he decided to change the direction of his life and move back to his hometown, Denver, Colorado. There, he found support from family, friends, and loved ones to pursue his passions.

Andre has always been passionate about the immigration system and mentoring. He discovered a nonprofit organization that resonated with him in these areas. Currently, Andre works at the National Youth Advocacy Program (NYAP) office in Denver, which aligns with his interests. At NYAP, he focuses on providing services to assist children, youth, and families in need. As a coordinator in the program, he is involved in educational initiatives aimed at helping children and youth develop the skills and resources they need for success during their foster placements.

For Andre, this is just the beginning of his career and life. He hopes to achieve more and give back to his community during these challenging times.
